The Maine Release Exciting New DVD

It’s out today: The Maine release a live DVD recorded in Manila with their 8123 labelmates This Century and Nick Santino.

The documentary DVD revolves around a recent show in Manila and predictably includes significant interactive crowd features, as we would expect from this talented band who are tremendously focused on their fans. The concert documentary will be released digitally worldwide this Friday, August 14th, with physical copies exclusively available in Manila.

From the press release:

Sean Silverman (This Century) weighs in on the fan support they receive in the Philippines, “it’s amazing how much they actually get into the music. That’s something we as artists have so much appreciation for.” The live footage really gives viewers a feel for the atmosphere at a show in Manila – capturing everything from stage banter to crowd response and fan engagement. Cut in between songs from the live concert, behind-the-scenes shots include exclusive interviews with all members of the three bands, a radio station visit, candid footage, and so much more giving viewers unique access. It shows fans insight into the relationships among the 8123 artists and also a peek into their lives on tour in another country.

The idea to film this type of production formulated from a desire to capture the environment created by the energy from fans in that city. “We have always loved being in Manila and have a special connection with the crowds. We wanted the rest of the world to be able to see that. Manila has really supported 8123 in a huge way!” Pat Kirch (The Maine) explains. Nick Santino agrees, “I always look forward to playing shows in Manila. It’s the furthest I’ve been from home but I feel so welcomed every time I’m there. This last time was special.”
