Atlas Genius Kicks off Two Great Weeks of Rock

Atlas Genius Show Preview

This fall has gotten off to a slow start in Orlando, but with the forthcoming arrival of one of today’s hottest new rock acts, that’s about to take a nice change for the better. Atlas Genius, the talented group out of Australia, rides the success of their huge recent hits “If So” and “Trojans” to what will surely be a packed house at House of Blues this Friday, October 18th.

The band is touring in support of their recent debut full-length release When It Was Now, which brothers Keith and Michael Jeffery wrote, recorded and produced in a studio they built in their hometown of Adelaide, Australia. “Trojans” was a Top 3 Modern Rock/Top 10 radio hit and spent an entire year on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart, selling nearly 300,000 tracks in the US alone. It’s a superbly well-written song, and as a testament has already been creatively covered by talented American rockers Blondefire.

To get you in the mood, check out the band’s latest single “Symptoms,” which just might be their best yet: Symptoms on Youtube.

Atlas Genius are currently in the middle of their first ever headlining tour; a run that kicked off with two sold out shows in one of our favorite East Coast venues, New York’s Bowery Ballroom. American Indie rockers, Family of the Year will be opening the show. Tickets are still available for the Orlando show, so take our recommendation and take advantage of this opportunity to see a talented band in a cozy comfortable venue. Looks like we might not be able to make it there to cover the show, so we look forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing your photos afterwords.  Make sure you Tweet them to us @rarasfarm

The Atlas Genius show kicks off a few killer weeks of Alt-Rock shows in The City Beautiful; a run of top-notch shows that also includes Papa Roach, Finch, All Time Low, Story of the Year and Matt Nathanson, not to mention rock legends Alice Cooper and Nine Inch Nails. Rock On!
