Cinematics – The Epilogues – Let’s start with Cinematics, the latest release from Indie rockers The Epilogues.  This foursome out of Denver offers up a nice diverse collection of modern rock that will appeal to most Alt-Rock fans.  Chris Heckman’s vocals conjure up comparisons to Silversun Pickups in a comfortable way, but the layered music is all their own.  Definitely worth a listen.

What Makes A Good Man? – The Heavy – These English modern rockers are back with another fantastic soulful anthem.  Love their sound which is a great meshing of Alt-Rock, R&B and just oozes soulful coolness. If you aren’t familiar with the band, they’re the same guys who gave us 2010’s fantastic The How You Like Me Now?

Put the Gun Down – ZZ Ward – Zsuzsanna Eva Ward. This young American singer songwriter has a soulful voice that reminds me of Duffy and Florence and the Machine.  This is her debut release and offers up a glimpse into her very bright future.

My Girl – Yukon Blonde – These Canadian Indie rockers have been around in one form or another for about seven years, and they’ve always had a great sound. This one is my favorite thus far.  Good stuff!

That Girl – Noisettes – This English duo hearkens back to 60’s Motown like the Ronettes.  This is a fun, bouncy song with an oldies rock feel. (This one is not yet available on iTunes)

Heaven Nor Hell – Volbeat – Some good old fashioned hard rock from this Danish trio.  Melodic heavy metal that is guaranteed to get you moving. Love their sound…

Pick Up the Phone – Falling In Reverse – Great hard rock from Las Vegas that was actually recorded here in Orlando.  It’s hardcore rock with nice melodies and fun lyrics.

Another Neighborly Christmas – EP – Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors – Nashville-based Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors is following up the band’s debut Christmas album (A Neighborly Christmas), with Another Neighborly Christmas which includes an excellent version of “Merry Christmas Baby.” Tis the season…

Rock On!
