On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of seeing two exciting bands at Will’s Pub. Crowd pleasers to the sold out show were Teen Suicide and Elvis Depressedly. I was not overly familiar with the music of either band previously, so my ears were in for a new treat.
Over here at RARAs Farm, a few of our own Rock And Roll Animals are huge fans of Ghost. With this announcement, they are no doubt excited to hear of the band’s forthcoming headlining tour.
On Wednesday night at Orlando’s cozy Social, myself and the rest of the fans crammed into the packed club on Orange Ave were treated to a night of unabashed pop rock fun. Matthew Logan Vasquez, former frontman for Delta Spirit, has just released “Personal,” an invigorating, catchy rocker that will have you instinctively reaching to crank up the volume.
Torche has restored my faith in rock music.
I have been very vocal about how much I like Torche. They raised the bar again when they recently played the New World Brewery in Tampa. THE GILLS! The name kind of makes me want to scream it. This upbeat punk/pop/rock hybrid sound coming from Nashville via Pensacola, Florida is sure to get you on your feet. I got the chance to listen to The Gills over the past week, and I gotta admit. I’m impressed.
Gary Lazer Eyes are a talented quartet and intriguing new band from Melbourne, FL, who need to be on your new music radar. They just released Black And White, their debut EP – Good news for local rock fans, as it’s a refreshing serving of distinctive rock ‘n roll.
