ovo-logoFor the first time in recent memory, Orlando entertainment aficionados were treated to a traveling extravaganza from Cirque du Soleil.  The legendary company brought their fantastically lavish OVO show to the cozy theatre setting at Amway Center. OVO is a sumptuous serving of creative, and sometimes breathtaking, acts focused on a kingdom filled with interesting insects and a mysterious egg (or ovo if you’re Brazilian).

Def Leppard Announces Epic Tour

Legendary UK rockers, Def Leppard have just announce a huge tour that will bring the popular rockers to Orlando on two separate occasions. They embark on the tour with a headlining appearance at the inaugural Moonstone Festival at The Central Florida Fairgrounds, before embarking on a 50 city tour that finds them playing with some special guests.

Good news for Orlando’s passionate Jimmy Buffett fan base, as the timeless, barefooted guitarist is headed back to the city for a night of his unique, addictive blend of fun island rock.

Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band return to the Amway Center on Thursday, April 16th, with tickets going on sale this Friday at 10:00 AM.  This year’s This One’s For You Tour celebrates the 40th anniversary of his first Top 40 album, A1A, which includes the classic hit “A Pirate Looks At Forty.”  For a fans in West Palm and Tampa, he hits the Gulf Coast on the 9th and 18th respectively.

The shows are always a blast, featuring fun songs, an engaging performer backed by a tight band, and the most entertaining fun crowd you will see all year.  If you’ve never been to a Buffett show, there’s almost as much fun outside the arena as inside. “…Among the 30+ albums Buffett has released, eight are gold albums and nine are platinum or multi-platinum. His latest album, “Songs from St. Somewhere,” was released last August.
