11/06/15 Library Voices Escape Artist An earthy blend of pop rock that brings back fond memories of classic Echo & The Bunnymen. RARAs Review (
10/30/15 Baio Sister of Pearl A bit of a quirky new-wavish offering that’s indelibly stuck in my head. Go ahead and give it a listen and see what happens…
10/23/15 Shinedown State of My Head It’s a totally different feel for Shinedown – a bit toned down and a few flashes of a ska feel, but it’s still another solid offering.
10/16/15 Bad Luck Last Bus (Change) Daytona Beach indie rock with a nice fusion of pop-punk and ska. Good stuff from right here in the Sunshine State(

10/02/15 Nathaniel Rateliff & Night Sweats S.O.B. Love this song’s distinctive rock-soul stylings. The gritty vocals are killer, but the entire song is just a rare soulful masterpiece. (RARAsFarm review)
09/25/15 Chris Cornell Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart The former front man from Soundgarden as you’ve never heard him before – a cool outlaw country vibe…

09/04/15 Babaganjou Hit Song The track begins with a flourish and immediately kicks into a frenetic garage rocker
08/28/15 Doctor Goddard Without Love They’re an Australian trio with a distinct Midwestern USA accent and an uncanny similarity to the Doors
08/21/15 Short Skirts I Like It Short Our favorite Norway pop punk rockers… okay, so maybe the only Norwegian punk rockers on our radar, but that doesn’t diminish how damn fun they are
07/17/15 Yukon Blonde I Wanna Be Your Man More excellent music from one of our favorite bands North of the border.  Great foot stomping singalong effort, perfect for the summer…
07/10/15 The Arcs Outta My Mind Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys with a different spin on the band’s trademark sound, but the hard-driving rock and great vocals will be plenty familiar.
06/26/15 21 Pilots Tear In My Heart They are one of the most entertaining Alt-rock bands touring today, and they constantly release interesting, distinctive music, like this!
06/12/15 Leaving Haven Miss Emma Local rock with a slick mainstream feel. This hearty rocker features excellent vocals from Trev Hastings and is a radio ready hit waiting to happen.
06/05/15 Modest Mouse The Ground Walks, with Time in a Box Another single, another classic. This one is a wonderfully meandering six-plus minute guitar-driven journey that’s an absolute blast to listen to.
05/29/15 Django Django Shake & Tremble Love the unique sound of this band, where every song is fresh and interesting. This one’s a groovy track with a distinctive 60’s psychedelic surf rock groove.
05/22/15 Circa Waves T-Shirt Weather It’s an upbeat indie rocker that’s a blast to listen to. The UK quartet dishes out some addictive pop rock that’s perfect for the summer.
05/15/15 The Absolute Smile Good old-fashioned rock music from California. It’s an anthemic track nicely carried by excellent guitarwork, and I love the vulnerable vocals from Philip Ross.
05/08/15 Mumford and Sons The Wolf It’s familiar enough as Mumford & Sons, but it’s definitely got more of a gritty, hard rocking vibe to it.
04/27/15 Young Guns Daylight It’s a sweeping anthemic rocker with a distinctively positive vibe. This UK band is about to hit the US and Florida festival circuit and I can already picture thousands of sun-drenched fans singing along.
04/13/15 Elle King Ex’s & Oh’s Oh, that voice, so distinctive and addictive. The song is catchy as hell, and has a haunting, swampy low fi feel coupled with creative lyrics that is a blast to listen to (and possesses a killer title)
04/06/15 Passion Pit Lifted Up (1985) It’s classic Passion Pit and a great way to kick off their forthcoming album Kindred. 1985 was indeed a good year, and this song will have plenty of lasting power
03/30/15 In The Pocket Punk Rock Girl Cool concept, cool song, cool cover, cool tribute… Check out what this talented group of Philadelphia musicians are up to, in our recent review post..
03/23/15 Thousand Foot Krutch Untraveled Road This band has been churning out rock hits for years, and this one is another aggressive offering. It’s a masterful melding of hip hop and hard rock, and it’s at the top of Sirius XM Octane’s list for good reason.
03/09/15 Short Skirts All Sliced Up 2:15 seconds of break-neck, feel good rock ‘n roll bliss. It’s Iggy Pop meets Dick Dale from a creative garage rock band out of Norway. Listen to this and you will love it.
03/02/15 Adelitas Way I Get Around One of the more pop-leaning singles, and it sounds great. Adelitas way has been making great rock for a few years now and this one is a sure hit waiting to happen.
02/24/15 Amaranthe Drop Dead Cynical This might just be my favorite song of the year so far. The hard-driving music is fantastic, the boy/girl vocals/screams are even better. This one needs to be played loud…
02/17/15 Marilyn Manson Deep Six The glam rocker is back with one of his best offerings in years. It’s hard-edged, dance-driven rock at its best. The video alone is worth a trip – weird but impossible to turn off…
02/10/15 Noel Gallagher In The Heat Of The Moment Along with his High Flying Birds, Gallagher continues to evolve and push himself to new limits. This one has more of a pop-rock feel, and it suits him well.
02/03/15 Modest Mouse The Best Room Hard to believe it has been eight years since their last release, but they’re just about back and this single sounds just like the best of the stuff we were hearing almost a decade ago.
01/26/15 The Griswolds If You Wanna Stay Another fun little ditty off of the band’s impressive debut album. This catchy rocker was an obvious follow-up to “Beware The Dog,” and it’s a sure-fire Alt-rock hit in the waiting. Check out our review of Be Impressive here.
01/19/15 These Reigning Days Thrones It’s a beautifully produced rock tune on a grand scale. Layered guitars, impressive keys, hard-driving drums and hook laden vocals.  It’s just a blast to listen to, and a track that reminds me of A Silent Film – which is a very good thing.
01/12/15 Dough Rollers Mansion On a Hill A talented quartet is brimming with potential and are about to explode on the rock music scene as they’ll be supporting the Black Keys on their upcoming tour.  Their music is usually heavily blues-infused, but this one has more of a catchy mainstream feel/
01/05/15 DREAMERS Wolves This Brooklyn trio of Indie rockers used to be the grunge-laced Motive out of Seattle.  This incarnation of the band has debuted with an incredibly catchy rock track, which is a howling good way for the Rock And ROll animals at RARAs Farm to start off our year.
