The Scooter Brown Band Impresses Opening for Charlie Daniels Band
Upon arriving at the Florida Theater to see the Charlie Daniels Band perform, I did not know there would be an opening act performing. After discovering who The Scooter Brown Band was, I ended up being more than pleasantly surprised by this new act’s bold southern rock sound and sexy yet down-home stage charisma.

Charlie Daniels Band – Jacksonville Show Review
When Charlie Daniels strides onstage in his silver buckled blue jeans, leather boots, and hat, it is clear that he is not like many eighty year old musicians who still occasionally limp out on stage to warble an old chart topper. He establishes himself as a presence- a presence that doesn’t give a damn about anything but the music.

The 2017 Gasparilla Music Festival was a pretty rockin affair with a multicultural and genre-bending lineup of local and national acts. Show Review: Foreigner St Augustine Amphitheatre
Foreigner has always been a band that pushed boundaries and embraced gimmicky sex appeal. 40 years later, on an anniversary tour most bands from their genre never made it to, they stayed true to form. We were treated to nearly painted on skinny jeans, mic stands and drum sticks thrown high, and a great light show.

Kolars at Will’s Pub – Orlando
Kolars are one of the most compelling acts to hit the rock music landscape in recent memory. They serve up a delicious mix of distinctive music that is best described as Rockabilly Dance, or perhaps Danceabilly. And, as I witnessed earlier this week, they deliver an incendiary live show.

The Trews Photo Gallery – Social, Orlando
Knowing I was headed out to review Carbon Leaf last week, a trusted friend made it clear that I needed to get to The Social early to catch The Trews. The Canadien quartet have been making compelling music for two decades yet had somehow failed to really hit my radar. Now that I have had a chance to catch them live, I realize that I’ve got some catching up to do. This band is damn good.
