Metallica has just announced plans for their 2017 WorldWired North American tour in support of their new album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, and the lineup is fantastic. Blondie and Garbage to Co-Headline North American Tour
Earlier today we received word of an intriguing summer tour headed our way. The Rage and Rapture Tour features two of rock music’s most accomplished female fronted bands, Blondie and Garbage. Although we are excited to see both artists, the return of Blondie truly has us abuzz.
The two bands embark on their Rage and Rapture Tour in early July with a few dates on the West Coast.
Kolars is the newish lovechild of two former members of modern folk band He’s My Brother She’s My Sister. Rob and Lauren Kolar have crafted a distinctively creative sound that I’d categorize as Danceabilly. Imagine what would happen when Bleachers collide with Social Distortion – that’s the best way I can describe their sound.
I’ve been to this thunderous celebration of hellacious hard rock for each of the past four years. The festival on the banks of the St. Johns River always features a handful of huge metal bands and five times as many smaller bands on the cusp. There’s definitely something for everyone blaring on one of the Welcome To Rockville stages at any time, but here are five bands that everyone should check out.
Gasparilla is a party you do not want to miss. Following the weekend that features a huge pirate ship storm the harbor of Tampa Bay as a throwback to the cities buccaneer history, another party gets underway with the downtown streets set ablaze. The Gasparilla Music Fest is a two day festival scheduled for March 11 and 12 with headliners Ryan Adams, and Cage the Elephant. The festival has a penchant for showcasing more local talent from all over Florida.
Fort Rock is a 2 day festival at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, FL. The metal fest has made a name for itself in the past few years and the 2017 lineup does not disappoint. There doesn’t seem to be a dip in talent for most of the festival. Def Leppard, Soundgarden, and The Offspring will all make the city shake but, as we wait patiently for the festival to kick off on April 29th, here is a snippet of the 5 bands that you need to see at Fort Rock.
JANANI’s new single, “First To Fall”, is out today, Friday 2/3. The song is a scorching rocker that provides a great glimpse into what this dynamic Orlando band is all about. We chatted with the band about the song. Check out what they had to share and then give “First To Fall” a listen or twelve.
Guns ‘N Roses have been a constant force in the world of hard rock since the late ’80s, and it doesn’t seem like they’re going anywhere anytime soon. GNR continue to dominate the headlines in the new year thanks to the ambitious Not In This Lifetime world tour. And with an improved media presence and rumors of a potential reunion album, it seems like everyone is developing an appetite for destruction.
