There are so many rock music signatures from so many iconic musicians over the years. Think Mick Jagger’s lips,Steven Tyler’s microphone scarves, Angus Young’s schoolboy outfit, Alice Cooper’s makeup, and Gene Simmons’ boots. I know there are more, but too many to name.
One of those signatures involves Rod Stewart’s rooster head of spiky, blonde, gleaming, sugary hair. “Rod the Bod” as he has lovingly come to be known has had such a varied career.

Gasparilla is a party you do not want to miss. Following the weekend that features a huge pirate ship storm the harbor of Tampa Bay as a throwback to the cities buccaneer history, another party gets underway with the downtown streets set ablaze. The Gasparilla Music Fest is a two day festival scheduled for March 11 and 12 with headliners Ryan Adams, and Cage the Elephant. The festival has a penchant for showcasing more local talent from all over Florida.

Fort Rock is a 2 day festival at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, FL. The metal fest has made a name for itself in the past few years and the 2017 lineup does not disappoint. There doesn’t seem to be a dip in talent for most of the festival. Def Leppard, Soundgarden, and The Offspring will all make the city shake but, as we wait patiently for the festival to kick off on April 29th, here is a snippet of the 5 bands that you need to see at Fort Rock.

Cirque de Soleil’s Ovo Review
For the first time in recent memory, Orlando entertainment aficionados were treated to a traveling extravaganza from Cirque du Soleil. The legendary company brought their fantastically lavish OVO show to the cozy theatre setting at Amway Center. OVO is a sumptuous serving of creative, and sometimes breathtaking, acts focused on a kingdom filled with interesting insects and a mysterious egg (or ovo if you’re Brazilian).
