Irish Songstress Dies Unexpectedly
Sad news today in the rock universe, as Dolores O’Riordan, the magnificent voice of The Cranberries died suddenly in London at the youthful age of 46.
Her death spawned an outpouring of grief for the Irish singer/songwriter. Fellow Irish rocker Hozier said it poignantly:
O’Riordan’s voice was a beautiful and diverse instrument that shined brightly, especially on the first three Cranberries’ albums. She was in London recording with the band, as they had recently begun touring together again. No cause of death, but she had previously announced severe back issues were impacting her ability to tour.
I’ll leave you with a few of her masterpieces.
RIP Dolores O’Riordan…
