Okeechobeefest Provides a Southern Alternative to Bonaroo

The Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival (OMF) Has Quickly Become a Can’t Miss Destination Festival

On the heels of two remarkable, sold-out festivals, we are less than a month away from the third installment of OMF, and this year’s 4-day line-up is absolutely stacked.  The 2018 headliners are impressive and diverse: Arcade Fire, Bassnectar (playing 2 sets), Halsey and Travis Scott.

For those of you have not stepped through the portal into a prior OMF, the experience is something you will never forget.  As our Brian Furman shared last year, “The main concert area, dubbed The Grove, was otherworldly. As you entered the portal through a line of palm trees, it was almost as if entering a musical Eden.”

From March 1st to 4th, you’ll find Okeechobeefest deep in the heart of Florida, situated ideally between Miami, Tampa and Orlando.  The beautiful and lush grounds feature an all-natural Florida escape: pristine grasslands, clear lakes, and exotic tropical woodlands, sprawling across 800 verdant acres.

In addition to the huge headliners, other spotlighted performers at The Grove include Rarasfarm favorites, Slightly Stoopid, The Flaming Lips, Foster the People, Local Natives, Thievery Corporation, Judah & The Lion and Misterwives, as well as a deep and compelling roster of emerging artists.

But, OMF is so much more than a celebration of live musical majesty. There are plenty of artistic diversions, local foodies, yoga and meditation opportunities. And then, there are a few distinctive OMF treats: Aquachobee- an all day beachside music and swimming oasis, Jungle51- an after hours techno party deep in the jungle, and ChobeeWobee Village- the cultural and artistic epicenter. It’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced and an event that you will never forget.

Jungle 51

I’m not much of a guru on techno, so here’s some insight into the highly anticipated Jungle 51 performances from the folks at FMF.

Okeechobee, FL. (January 9th, 2018), — Deep in the heart of Okeechobee’s tropical setting, JUNGLE 51 returns to OMF 2018 to set night owls’ and thrill seekers’ pulses on fire.  Since 2016, the mystical enclave has become a place where humans and aliens alike come to lose themselves to cosmic house and techno music, becoming completely engulfed by light and sound until the early morning hours.
Okeechobeefest Jungle 51 The JUNGLE 51 stage will feature three late nights of otherworldly beats during Okeechobee 2018.
