Euphoria – Killer New Rock from New Jersey
I grew up in New Jersey in the 80’s and loved the music that drifted through my headphones in those formative years. Based on this background, I was instantly intrigued when I read the press release about some new music from New Jersey with clear 80’s alternative rock undercurrents.
After my first spin through The Stolen’s new single “Euphoria” I was not disappointed. The catchy song was everything I anticipated, evoking nostalgic memories of bands who dominated my ears in those halcyon days. “Euphoria” is a wonderful cross-section of The Cure and John Eddie, and it is definitely worthy of broad attention.
It’s easy to see why they’ve opened up for bands like All-American Rejects and Neon Trees… because their music is infectious hook-laden rock. Do yourself a favor and check it out, and see if you hit ‘Repeat’ as many times as I have.
The Stolen have just released their second EP, Fragile Heart. We highly recommend giving that a listen, as well. You can get more info on their Facebook Page: The Stolen.
