Shorelines – New Heights
Rapidly emerging from the Aussie pop punk scene, Brisbane’s own Shorelines are set to release their new EP entitled New Heights by the end of the month.
The band that made TheSickest.com’s list of “8 Sick Bands That Will Dominate 2017,” has released their title-track from the EP along with the first music video they ever shot in their hometown of Brisbane. Lead singer and bassist Harry White said that the song “New Heights” is about chapters in life ending that make way for new beginnings.
“I wrote this song about my old band breaking up and having to start again with Shorelines. “New Heights” definitely shows off our positivity towards the new band, but also displays some anger towards the people that brought us down in the past.”
Wielding dueling guitars, a tight rhythm section, and an amazing drummer, these young Aussie pop punkers bring a lot of energy to the table. The band is a collaboration that’s comprised of former members of Call the Shots, and Rum, Forest, Rum. Their heavy yet melodic sound is influenced by bands such as All Time Low, State Champs, and The Wonder Years–the bands they grew up idolizing.
