Impressive Lineup Announced for Okeechobeefest 2018
Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival, aka Okeechobeefest, aka OMF has just released their 2018 line-up and it looks great. Our own Brian Furman offered: “Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival is diverse in every sense of the word from the lush outdoors setting, to the headlining acts, to the food; all spectrums of music, art, culture, and people were represented.”
Yup, there’s a lot more than killer music on the agenda, and our friends at OMF have done an amazing job of creating a destination festival that rivals the largest in the country, yet still maintains some sweet Florida charm. They’ve done this in two brief years.
It’s four days of Arts, wellness, friendship, love and nature. Oh, and music. More from Brian: “The music never stopped and seamlessly crossed genres, with classic rock, funk, hip-hop, country, and a heavy dubstep contingent lighting up the Florida wilderness. It was incredibly awesome and flowed continuously from one stimulation to the next.”
Now onto this year’s headliners: Arcade Fire, Bassnectar (x2), Halsey and Travis Scott. Diverse. They’re joined by RarasFarm favorites The Flaming Lips, Foster the People, Slightly Stoopid and many more.
Additional information from the press release:
Located in the heart of Florida, sitting between Miami, Tampa and Orlando, Sunshine Grove spans across 800-acres of pristine grasslands, clear lakes, and exotic tropical woodlands. The diverse, multi-genre festival celebrates the start of Spring with both world renowned and on the rise performers, art installations, yoga, meditation, local culinary treats and more.
In addition to The Grove – the expansive tropical wooded venue for musical performances on OMF’s Be, Here, Now stages, OMF continues to set itself apart with its signature areas like Aquachobee- an all day beachside music and swimming oasis, Jungle51- an after hours techno party deep in the jungle, and ChobeeWobee Village- the cultural and artistic epicenter of the OMF experience filled with treasures and delights around each and every corner.
