HOB-Orlando Hosts Compassionate TWLOHA Event

To Write Love On Her Arms Brings Emotional Show to Orlando

Jamie Tworkowski had hopes of pulling his friend, Renee Yohe, out of her depression, drug/alcohol addiction, self harm and suicidal thoughts – but what he ended up with was much larger than he ever would imagined.

Through their good will and Renee’s story, Jamie and his team soon found themselves reaching out to people all over the world who were desperately looking for direction to recovery. In 2006 Jamie officially founded To Write Love on Her Arms. They started by selling t-shirts and reaching out to those in need – in 2011 they were given a $1 million grant to continue reaching out. By 2014 they had shipped to over 74 countries, $1.5 million donated to treatment and recovery. 10 years later, Jamie and his team continue to change the lives of those lost in addiction and self hate.

As an attempt to inform and encourage people to seek help, In 2007 TWLOHA kicked off HEAVY AND LIGHT as “an evening of songs, conversation, and hope.”

This year, HEAVY AND LIGHT has an AWESOME line up bound to pump up the crowd, raise awareness and encourage all while enabling everyone to have fun and enjoy a great show Saturday April 1 at House of Blues Orlando.

There will be performances from award winning lead singer from Switchfoot, John Foreman, acoustic chill with The Rocket Summer, uplifting performance by lead singer from The Lone Bellow, Zach Williams and spoken word by Propaganda and Tonya Ingram.
