Gasparilla Music Festival Lineup Boasts Distinctive Flair
In its brief existence, The Gasparilla Music Festival has quickly become a destination festival with broad local and national appeal. Headlined by seminal alternative rockers Cage The Elephant, this year’s line-up boasts an impressively diverse group of headliners.
At this point, we only know five of the headline bands for the March 11th and 12th event in Tampa, but they are quite impressive. The aforementioned Cage The Elephant is the most exciting act on the line-up. They’re a band that’s dominated our Best of Lists over the last decade with their distinctive twisted alternative rock.
The rest of the announced bands span a broad spectrum of genres. Cage will be joined by Nashville Prog-rockers Moon Taxi, The New Mastersounds, a UK Jazz Fusion outfit, and two New Orleans acts, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Shamarr Allen & The Underdawgs.
The remainder of the lineup should be filled out and announced soon, and when the news is released, we’ll let you know right here at Rarasfarm. But in the meantime, go out and scoop your tickets up. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this festival.
