Modern Ruin Album Review
The English band formed just two years ago is currently making their way through the UK on their Modern Ruin tour.
The Rattlesnakes have a hint of Pure Love’s softer melodic alternative sound that’s excellently fused together with the hardcore chops Gallows had to offer. Carter has perfected the art of blending harmonious vocal bars into shrill and growling screaming fits, at one minute soft and melodic before exploding into gritty and grungy bars of hard rock.
I love the steadily pulsating rock & roll riff that “Lullaby” offers. Just unrelenting distorted guitars and thumping drums behind the beautifully chaotic screams of Frank- this dude is one hell of a front-man, talent and style alike- and The Rattlesnakes are one hell of a band.
If you’re in the UK, you should most definitely check out a Rattlesnakes show. They recently just killed it at Glastonbury and stunned a crowd anticipating headliners The Killers. Frank took control of the crowd, not allowing any men to crowd-surf and urging women to do the opposite. Just remember- at Rattlesnakes shows, Frank makes the rules.
