Terence Jack Rises Up

My InBox was recently gifted with a fantastic new song from Indie rocker Terence Jack. I know it’s only the Spring, but “Eastern Rise” is quite possibly the song of the year thus far in 2016.

First and foremost, the song is distinctively refreshing. It’s a piano-driven jaunt that blends many different genres of rock music. It’s an invigorating ride, 4:05 of undulating keys, sharp hooks and mesmerizing vocals.

At different times, I’m reminded of Black Keys, Drowning Men and A Silent Film – three very different bands, but all fantastic musicians doing special things.

Check it out below and see if you agree:

It’s the lead single from the Vancouverite’s forthcoming album Never Get Back and a good indicator of what to expect from this fresh artist on our new music radar.
