If you haven’t seen a show at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall you don’t know what you’re missing, and if you went this past Sunday you were in for a real treat. The Silversun Pickups played to a sell out crowd, and played well they did!
The Los Angeles-based band has become alt-rock royalty over the past decade, and on this night played many hits, highlighted by “Panic Switch” and their main set closer, “Lazy Eye.” They also featured songs from their most recent album Better Nature, including their opening song, “Cradle.”
Frontman Brian Aubert’s passion and emotion poured through the performance, never more evident than on “The Royal We”. You can feel the emotion and intensity when he sings, and that’s what really draws people to their music and live performances. Overall a very good show at a fantastic venue, where I’m sure they made a few new fans.
