Sick Puppies News

Our favorite Australian Alt-Metal rockers, Sick Puppies are getting ready for a big summer, including new music, a new line-up, and greatly anticipated appearances at local venues.

The DrillDown/Caroline recording artists are set to release their debut album with new singer Bryan Scott who replaced longtime vocalist Shimon Moore.  Our first taste of the revised sounds is the explosive new single “Stick To Your Guns.”

The catchy track offers a bit more of an industrial sound. from their earlier music but there’s no mistaking that this is Sick Puppies music. Scott’s lyrics on this one seem a bit more gritty than prior songs from the band, and it’s a welcome change.

Check it out yourself here:

“You have to push regardless of what anyone tells you,” Bassist Emma Anzai says. “This was a big thing for us. You can pray, hope, or wish for something to happen, but at the end of the day, you have to “stick to your guns”, go out there, and believe. The song is meant to empower.”

The trio also have a massive tour on the horizon including four stops in Florida. They hit 98 Rockfest in Tampa on 4/29 and Jacksonville’s massive Welcome To Rockville on 5/1. Sandwiched in between is a cozy show at Orlando’s The Social on 4/30. You can see the full tour dates below. I’m excited to see them touring with another one of my current favorites, Red Sun Rising.

Check out our Sick Puppies photos from Welcome To Rockville 2014.

RARAsFarm.com will be there to cover the show at The Social, and our own Philip Snyder will be stting down to chat with the band beforehand, so mkae sure you Like our Facebook Page to keep in the loop on this news and for all of your local rock music coverage.
