He’s best known as the dynamic frontman for 80’s glam rockers, Hanoi Rocks, and now a few decades later, he’s delivered another rollicking song for you aural pleasure.
Between his stints with Hanoi, Monroe has partnered with a talented and diverse cross-section of rock stalwarts, including Steve Van Zandt, Slash, Ronnie Wood, Steven Tyler, Ian hunter, Stiv Bators and Steve Stevens. He’s certainly experienced the rock ‘n roll lifestyle. And, on his new release, “Goin’ Down With The Ship,” he puts that experience to music and words in an invigorating rocker laced with catchy hooks. “The song is basically about us getting on the tour bus and hitting the road with our band,” explains Monroe.
The song, from his 2015 Spinefarm Records release Blackout States is an anthemic offering that provides a nice exclamation point to his storied career. The video is loaded with cool insights to Monroe and his bandmate’s life on the road.
The video release coincides with the kick off of a breakneck cross-country tour for the band (dates below).
