“Thunder In The City” is a cheery, poppy new track that I cannot unstick from that tiny little space between my ears. It’s a distinctive synth-driven single that’s just as catchy as hell, and if this track finds it’s way onto radio, it’s destined to explode on the Alternative rock scene.
The sweet song is the first single off of the Bronx band’s recently released self-titled debut album. It’s my favorite of the ten songs, but there are several other likeable cuts, as well.
Band member Eddie Gore shares “I don’t want to get too specific about meaning behind the song because it’s not supposed to be specific, but it’s definitely about being happy in a moment and about looking back and being happy with yourself”.

The new album, Future Generations was released on Frenchkiss Records on Friday, July 29th, and it’s an intriguing collection of songs. The album is not going to be a great fit for every rock fan, but it’s worth a quick ride between the ears. You can take a tour of the album which is a cross between MGMT and The 1975 here:
Upcoming Tour Dates:
8/5 – Tropicalia – Washington, DC
8/12 – Johnny Brenda’s – Philadelphia, PA
8/18 – Great Scott – Boston, MA
8/26 – Fete Lounge – Providence, RI
